Mothers Way or Else…

Pageant kids…this topic makes me sick. The whole industry has caused lots of controversy due to the nature of the game. Mothers train their young daughters to be in these type of beauty pageants to what?…make money off them? In reality, these children are being forced and pushed to do whatever their mothers want them to do. I find it disgusting how pageant mothers will even allow their young ones to wear caked on makeup, let along FALSE EYELASHES and artificial tans.

I remember coming across the tv series, Toddlers and Tiaras on TLC, a while back. Out of curiousity, I watched 2 minutes of it until I flipped the channel to something less disturbing. During the 2 minutes, I saw how awful it was. It was shocking to see how a mother forces her 5 year old child to continuouly reharse a dance routine until perfection. In a sense, it’s the closest thing to child abuse.

The Heart Truth Red Dress Fashion Show was a show dedicated to the color RED, but mainly heart disease awareness. The Heart Truth consisted of a crowd of the hottest celebrities on the runway in fashions created by America’s top designers for women’s heart health.

The Red Dresswas created and introduced by The Heart Truth as the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness in 2002 to deliver an urgent wake-up call to American women. The Red Dress reminds women of the need to protect their heart health and inspires them to take action. Each February since its launch, the Red Dress symbol has come to life on the runway with the support of the fashion industry and celebrity models at the Red Dress Collection Fashion Show.

The Red Dress Collection 2009 Fashion Show was presented by Diet Coke with national sponsors Swarovski and Johnson & Johnson, and make-up partner Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.

Oops, She Keeps Doing It Again

Brittany Spears. What a hot mess!?! I thought it was a phase she was going thought, but I guess she really doesn’t give a hoot. You’d think that after being in the industry for years and being around stylist and fashion in general that she’d learn a few things. WRONG. Instead, it seems like she’s getting worst as far as her style sense is concerned. I hate to diss, but I think she looked better when she was a tiny bopper. At least back then she could get away with it. Her fashion sense has evolved into trying too hard without trying at all. I don’t see any sign of upgrading in her wardrobe.

This photo below is an absolute NO NO! Mixing textures and different fabrics is welcomed, but in this case it isn’t. A cotton cami paired with satin or sateen, lingerie-looking skirt with lace trimming does not go.

And this looks like something Dennis Rodman would wear.

Hopefully Brittany Spears will wake up and eventually smell the coffee. Obviously, sees sleeping though it. I’d like to see her REALLY come back, cuz her first attempt didn’t happen. Sorry Brit, but you’re on the fashion failure list
