Pageant kids…this topic makes me sick. The whole industry has caused lots of controversy due to the nature of the game. Mothers train their young daughters to be in these type of beauty pageants to what?…make money off them? In reality, these children are being forced and pushed to do whatever their mothers want them to do. I find it disgusting how pageant mothers will even allow their young ones to wear caked on makeup, let along FALSE EYELASHES and artificial tans.
I remember coming across the tv series, Toddlers and Tiaras on TLC, a while back. Out of curiousity, I watched 2 minutes of it until I flipped the channel to something less disturbing. During the 2 minutes, I saw how awful it was. It was shocking to see how a mother forces her 5 year old child to continuouly reharse a dance routine until perfection. In a sense, it’s the closest thing to child abuse.
